How to save money when sending Christmas cards

Who doesn’t love getting a letter (that isn’t a bill) in their mailbox?

If you’re a card connoisseur, this money hack submitted by reader Teresa Kim will help you save some bucks on international shipping costs through Canada Post:

"If you are sending letter mail at Canada Post outlets, any international letter mail over $5 is tax-exempt if you mail them at the outlets—that is, you don't take stamps home to use later. It saves quite a bit of money during holiday mailing times.

Make sure to ask the staff at the outlet if they know how to do this tax exemption; many Canada Post outlet staff don't even know about it."

Thanks, Teresa!
